Don is a wide area networking and telecommunications veteran. He began his IT career in 1988 working as a Network Sales Engineer for a major carrier. He later broadened his wide area network skills and enjoyed a successful career selling both network access lines and data networking hardware to strategic accounts during the early formation of Wide Area Networks. He served as the Managing Vice President of a public company where he built and grew network and hardware sales from nothing to over $8 million in less than 2 years. Don has been a self-employed entrepreneur since 1997, focused on helping his clients understand and apply new information technologies to increase profits, reduce costs, identify new opportunities and gain competitive advantage. He founded The T1 Company in 2001 to offer a better network and a better service experience for his customers.
Don has been published in several trade journals, and has served as an officer for professional organizations. He holds undergraduate degrees in Communications (B.A.) and Marketing (B.S.); and a graduate degree in Information and Communication Science (M.S.).
Cliff Burgett, Esq.
Cliff was instrumental in the formation of The T1 Company and was responsible for the preparation and submission of FCC and PUCO filings that launched the company’s voice service offerings. He has a unique career history that includes carrier network engineering, service provisioning, financial planning and attorney. Mr. Burgett retired from the company in 2006, but continues to serve as a full-time consultant and advisor. His duties span all departments including financial, legal, administration and service provisioning.
Cliff is a member of the Ohio Bar Association. He holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science (B.A), a Juris Doctorate degree (J.D.), and an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning.
Human Resources & Administration
Robin is an experienced Administrator serving in a variety of administrative roles since 1997 for a major telecommunications carrier. She has acted as a subject matter expert in business policies and provided guidance to sales management and customer service departments, and has trained branch managers, sales and support personnel on policy and procedures. At The T1 Company, Robin is responsible for benefits and payroll administration including the onboarding of new hires. She oversees billing and customer service functions including vendor liaison management. Robin also tracks all sales orders and pending service installations to ensure that services are provisioned, and all related hardware items procured and installed in a timely manner.
Robin holds an undergraduate degree in Individual Studies (B.A.); and a graduate Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
IP Voice, Senior Engineer
Scott began his IT career as a VoIP technician performing user administration of an enterprise Cisco Call Manager installation for a major manufacturing company. Scott joined The T1 Company in 2008 and is currently responsible for the provisioning and training of all voice users of our Cisco Unified Communication Manager platform.
Scott holds a degree in Technology (B.S); and a Associate of Applied Business in Computer Technology from Kent State University.
Managed IT Services
Josh began his career as a LAN and network administrator for a regional bank. He has held various positions in the LAN support and IT management areas. His role at The T1 Company is to service and support customers of our Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service offerings.
Marc is a CIS graduate with a strong knowledge of IT and PC support with extensive help desk experience.
Marc holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (B.A.).
